Tomando o nome de um passo de Frevo que simula um momento de instabilidade, FAZ QUE VAI retrata quatro bailarinos em seus modos de articular uma forma de tradição popular em questões sócio-econômicas e de gênero. Como uma série de anotações sobre a relção entre corpo, câmera e movimento no registro de uma dança típica do Nordeste do Brasil, FAZ QUE VAI comenta o sentido do carnavalesco presente em diversas estratégias de preservação do Frevo como imagem, patrimônio e produto.
Taking its title from the name of a Frevo step that pretends a moment of imbalance, FAZ QUE VAI (SET TO GO) portrays four dancers in their ways of articulating a form of popular tradition with gender and socio-economic issues. As a series of annotations on the relation between body, camera and movement in the documentation of a typical dance of the Northeast of Brazil, the film comments on the meaning of the carnivalesque used in diverse strategies of preservation of Frevo as an image, heritage and product.
